The course introduces theoretical backgrounds as well as practical examples for health promotion, which will be practiced in planning a health promotion program for a given setting as a group work.

After completing the course the student - will be familiar with the principles of health promotion and theories that are used to guide health promotion interventions - is familiar with principles to plan, implement, and evaluate health promotion activities - can identify certain health problems and describe their possible causes within a defined population
Contents
Concepts and theories in health promotion will be put to the test in by simulating planning, implementing and evaluating programs in a variety settings. Students become familiar with the principles of health promotion and interventions at various levels and in all population segments. The pros and cons of health promotion policies and actions are debated; arguments and counter arguments are presented.
