Learning outcomes

After completing the study module the student is familiar with the experimental, epidemiological, survey, and intervention studies that investigate the relationship between the physical environment and well-being. The aim of the course is to deepen the understanding of the associations between the physical environment and well-being as part of the psychologist’s professional knowledge. Moreover, the aim is to develop abilities to literary and oral scientific communication.

Contents

The student has read and summarized one research article as a presentation. The student has discussed and brainstormed in a group about the strengths and weaknesses of the studies. S/he has also discussed and developed ideas of future research questions and designs.

There is a formal registration for the course. Maximum 40 students are approved. First, the students are selected from among the Psychology degree students who fulfill the selection criteria (required, earlier studies). If seats remain, other degree programme students are selected on the basis of the selection criteria (required, earlier studies). If there are more students than seats, those with temporally earlier credits are selected first.
