Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course unit, the student will be able to appropriately perform in various oral communication situations. The student will be able to anticipate and plan their communications and to assess their communicative success. The student will be familiar with methods of analysing speech, and will be able to employ these methods in practice, such as in the study of interpreting.

Contents

The course unit is comprised of a training course and related literature to be read during the course. During the course unit, the student will practice public speaking and complete an exercise in analysing speech.
