General description

An introductory course in project planning and management.

Learning outcomes

After the course a student is able to:
• identify public health issues which are suitable for project work
• evaluate the need for a project in its operational environment
• plan the aims, the phases and implementation of a project
• plan a rough budget for a project
• map out a communication plan for a project
• plan how to evaluate the impact of a project
• identify possible risks before implementing a project
• produce a written project plan
• manage a small scale project
• evaluate public health projects

• project evaluation
