Learning outcomes

After completing the course, the students will have learnt the basic concepts of class analysis. They have also learnt the historical development of Russian social structure from early 20th century to contemporary world. The students can apply sociological concepts in Russia context. They know about different approaches in current analysis concerning the Russian class structure.

Theories and concepts of analysing class structure. The historical development and the present class structure of Russian Federation. Current discussions concerning social classes in Russia.
