Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course unit, the student will be familiar with the principles of translation memory programmes, will be able to consider their applicability in translating various texts, and will have the skills to use a common translation memory programme. The student will have an understanding of what the possible advantages and disadvantages of translation memory programmes are and will be able to take them into account in planning their own work.

Contents

The course unit explores the functions and principles of a commonly used translation memory programme. The student will practice translating various texts with the help of a translation memory. The course unit comprises multilingual exercises.
