Learning outcomes

After completing the course, the doctoral student is able to understand the principles of planning a research and the various steps that need to be taken in research planning. S/he is able to take into account the vital issues related to planning a doctoral research and is able to write a research plan that is of a high standard, ethically sustainable and realistic. The doctoral student is able to update and improve the plan and, when necessary, edit it for different purposes.

Contents

The courses under this heading take a look at excellent research plans and the students learn to identify the basic elements of research plans. The doctoral students practise being aware and taking into account not only the demands of science, but also the expectations and interests of other relevant parties, such as publishers and funders. The courses analyse and develop the participants’ research plans. The participants give constructive criticism about each other’s research plans and learn to benefit from the feedback they receive.
