General description

The course is offered at the Danube University Krems.

- Studying the basics of German language (a stress on receptive skills)
- Level A1 (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)
- Perspectives on Austrian culture

Learning outcomes

After completion of the course students have got a view on Austrian cultural life, including aspects of culture and daily life in the UNESCO World Heritage Site Wachau as a sample region in Austria. They know the foundations of German language pronunciation and are able to understand and use short and simply-structured expressions.

- materials and learning activities concerning different features of Austrian culture
