To equip students with the facilities to produce independent academic data and to report it orally and in writing.
Contents
An academic research paper (pro gradu thesis) demonstrating students' skills in scientific issues and methods. The minimum length for a thesis is 60 pages, and at the end of it there will be a summary of 5-20 pages, written in the other language of the language pair (Russian or Finnish).
A seminar to help students acquire and develop the facilities needed for writing a Master's thesis, research process and academic writing.
Modes of study
Seminar and a thesis. Writing a pro gradu thesis. Active participation in seminars and acting as an opponent. Compiling and presenting a research plan, and a seminar project, which will also be a part of a thesis report.
