Learning outcomes

After completing the course the students know in vitro cell and tissue culture methods which can be used to replace or reduce the use of experimental animals.

Contents

Students will learn the general requirements of a good in vitro model. They will learn how an in vitro model system can be built and validated. They will also learn the application methods.

Further information on prerequisites and recommendations

The vaccination against tetanus and hepatitis (A+B) is compulsory requirement due to the use of human cell material.
When selecting the course participants the priority is given to the UTA Biotechnology and TUT Biotechnology programme students.
