Learning outcomes

After writing the Master's Thesis the student is expected to
-- be able to independently conduct scientific research
-- know deeply a subfield of computer sciences
-- know how to use scientific literature
-- be capable of using scientific argumentation in order to express his/her ideas
-- master the research methods relevant to the topic of the thesis.

Contents

Independent research on a subject that needs to be agreed upon with the professor of interactive technology or with another instructor.

Tutkielman aihe on muotoiltu mielekkääksi kokonaisuudeksi. Työn etenemisestä ja aikataulusta on selvä suunnitelma ja sen toteuttaminen on lähtenyt hyvin liikkeelle. Opiskelija on kartoittanut aihetta koskevan keskeisen tutkimuskirjallisuuden ja käynyt sitä merkittävän määrän läpi.

The thesis topic has been formed into a meaningful whole. There is a clear plan for the progress and schedule of the work, and its implementation has started out well. The student has surveyed the key literature on the topic and reviewed a significant amount of it.

Tutkielmatyö on edennyt suunnitelman mukaan ja tämä on todettu ohjauskeskusteluissa. Tutkimustehtävä on täsmentynyt ja käytettävä kirjallisuus on tarkentunut. Työ on hyvässä vauhdissa.

The thesis has progressed according to plan, which has been noted in the supervision sessions. The research task has become more defined and the literature used more specific. The work is progressing well.

Tutkielma on jätetty tarkastukseen julkaisukelpoisena ja viimeisteltynä. Opiskelija on suorittanut vaadittavan kypsyyskokeen. Tutkielma on tarkistettu plagiaatintunnistusjärjestelmällä. Tutkielma on hyväksytty.

The thesis has been submitted for review, finished and ready for publication. The student has completed the required maturity test. The thesis has been checked with the plagiarism detection system. The thesis has been approved.

The originality of thesis will be checked before evaluation using the Turnitin-system.

The supervisor approves the 10 ECTS components. The completion criteria for components can be specified or described in more detail in the supervision plan form, if necessary, based on the supervisor's decision and the nature of the work.
