Learning outcomes

After having completed this course unit, the student can analyse the policies linked with energy production, energy trade and energy consumption on the European, Eurasian (including Russia) and global levels. The student can apply theoretical perspectives to understanding this complex issue area, is able to distinguish between the geographical, economic, institutional and ecological dimensions of energy policy, and understands the differences between the policies based on traditional fossil fuels and renewable energy sources.
