Finnish for Translators II, 10– ECTS

Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of the study module, the student
- will be familiar with the mechanisms of language change and be aware of their own responsibility in using and developing the Finnish language
- will be able to use the Finnish language in both oral and written form in a manner appropriate to the context
- will be able to edit Finnish-language texts they have written as well as those of others
- will be able to analyse and assess texts in terms of communication, content, style, and language
- will be familiar with the variability of language and will be able to apply this knowledge in different translation assignments
- will be experienced in the continual development of their communication skills, and will be prepared to continue to update their knowledge of the Finnish language after completing the study module.

Content

The study module Finnish for Translators II belongs to the Master's Programme in Multilingual Communication and Translation Studies. In order to be able to complete the study module, the student has to first complete the Bachelor's studies course units (Finnish for Translators I).
