The course will offer an overview of qualitative methodologies applied in Education, detailing different possibilities for data collection, analysis and reporting research. The aim is to provide a learning environment that allows students to critically reflect on the possibilities, advantages and limitations of the qualitative approach and to give them theoretical bases for the development of qualitative research designs.
At the end of the course it is expected that students have deepen his/her knowledge of qualitative approach, that they understand the special characteristics of qualitative-oriented research and, therefore, are capable to assess the applicability of qualitative research methods for answering the research questions set in their thesis project.
