Education, Work and Culture – promoting inclusion into education and work through interdisciplinary collaboration (5 ECTS)

The course builds on collaboration between students of education, social work and languages. It aims at developing students’ awareness about the questions and challenges of inclusion of immigrants into education and work life in the Finnish society.

During the course, students develop small projects promoting inclusion. In the projects they collaborate both with the providers and those in need of inclusive measures into education and work. Project work is supported by reflection sessions using material from educational, social and linguistic research. The course is tutored jointly by teachers from each subject.
