Additional information

Medical imaging and microscopy methods have developed rapidly during the recent years. These methods provide new type of data about the properties and functioning of tissues, cells and molecules that can be utilized in biological, biomedical or tissue engineering research and diagnostic. Essential in this development is the utilization of effective image processing and image analysis methods and physics. The major in bioimaging provides a multi-disciplinary view to biomedical engineering and bioengineering by combining the physics related to the image formation, image-based computational modeling, as well as image analysis methods of tissues and cells.
