Seminar presentation held and material delivered in schedule; project work (an RF circuit) designed, implemented, and tested and meeting specifications; report delivered in schedule.
-
After completing the course the student is able to design, simulate, build, and test a RF active circuit, for example, a low noise amplifier. In addition, the student is able to deliver a presentation and create a scientific report describing his work.
| Content | Core content | Complementary knowledge | Specialist knowledge |
| 1. | Use of an RF simulations tool. | ||
| 2. | Design of a practical circuit e.g. an RF amplifier, oscillator, or mixer. | ||
| 3. | Layout design for an RF circuit plus practical etching of a printed circuit board. | ||
| 4. | Making gain, impedance, and spectrum measurements using RF test instruments. | ||
| 5. | Preparing a report that meets scientific standards and quality. |
