The study information system ensemble and electronic services of Tampere university are changing especially during the academic years of 2019-2020 and 2020-2021.

New study information system Sisu, Student’s intranet and its widgets as well as other new information systems will replace old systems. A maintenance break will take place in the summer from the 18 June until the 4 August 2020. During the maintenance break old systems will go out of use and old UTA and TUT learning environments will transfer to TUNI environments. TUNI Moodle and TUNI EXAM will be in use during the maintenance break.

Sisu will be fully deployed on 5 August 2020. It is already possible to get familiar with Sisu during the spring, but all Tampere university students start actively using Sisu in August. From August onwards students plan their studies, enroll for teaching and conduct online transactions in Sisu.

Student’s intranet’s front page is renewed during the summer when intra widgets are taken to use. Students have can modify the frontpage view by e.g. moving some of the widgets. In the future intranet will be a place that gathers important news as well as notifications and schedules from other systems such as Sisu and EXAM.

During the autumn term 2020 other systems are also deployed:

  • Old electronic exam service Tenttis goes out of use for students at the end of August. It is replaced by EXAM which was already deployed in 2019.
  • Albert and Varaax merge into Alva, which is taken into use in August. Alva is a system for reserving, returning and evaluating students’ practical works.
  • OJP (opintojaksopalaute in Finnish), new course feedback system will replace old course feedback arrangements and it is taken to use in September/October.
  • The old UTA version of Harri, internship management system, goes out of use in October. New Harri that is shared for the whole university is deployed in November.
  • At the end of 2020 E-lomake and Webropol will go out of use.

Exact dates for the deployment of OJP, Alva and new Harri will specify later and are updated to this page.
