Certificates and confirmations for exchange students
All certificates and confirmations are done remotely at the moment either by post or by email (spring semester 2020). Please use document scanning apps, when you use your smartphones for scanning (such as Microsoft Office Lens or similar).
Many exchange students have different certificates, confirmations or other similar forms from their home university which must be signed and stamped at Tampere University by the host faculty and / or by the International Mobility Services / Student Affairs Office.
Remember to take care of all the documents at least a few days before leaving as it might take a couple of days to get the signatures / stamps from the people in question. The documents may not be signed earlier than one week before your date of departure. The following dates are written on the certificates:
Start of studies:
- first day of the Welcome Week or
- the day of your arrival or
- the day of your registration with the University
End of studies:
- latest day confirmed
- end of teaching period
COVID-19 update: The dates we can confirm are the start date, the actual return date and/or the end of the teaching period, but please double-check first with your home university what type of document they need regarding the length of your exchange period, as the requirements can vary due to COVID-19. We hope you will pre-fill the documents before sending them to us.
Please note that Tampere University’s official transcript of records does not include the dates of your study period at the University.
