Will the campus libraries open during the summer for loaning and returning course books? The books I need are not available electronically.
The campus libraries will remain closed with the campuses for the duration of the spring semester. News and more information on loans and returns can be found on library's page here.

How do I participate in courses by distance?

How can I create a chat or a call for group work?
Student’s guide’s handbook page Practical instructions for distance learning has a guide for creating remote meetings with Microsoft Teams and instructions on how to share and collaboratively edit documents.
How do I install required software on my computer?
Some software products can be downloaded from the provider’s site and others are made available under an agreement signed by the University some softwares can even work even simply through a browser. Can I print or scan during the time the campuses are closed?
Staff and students will have restricted access to designated printers and multi-function devices (MFDs) located on the campuses under the current exceptional circumstances. You must agree on their use in advance with the IT Helpdesk. More information available on this Intranet news page.
I don’t have computer or required programs or my computer broke. What should I do?
IT Helpdesk has few laptops available for loan to students with urgent needs. Please send an inquiry about the availability of loan devices to the IT Helpdesk. More information available on this Intranet news page.
Will all courses with electronical exams be held with distance exams during the summer? If I want to enroll for the exam, should I just email to the teacher?

Is it possible to get special arrangements like extra time in a distance exam? How should I ask for them?
If you are eligible for special arrangements like extra time during the examination, please contact the teacher of the course or the exam. Prepare to prove your eligibility with appropriate paperwork.
How do I participate in an exam by distance?

An exam requires constant audio / video connection. My connection is not always stable what should I do?
If the problem is with your device or the program, you could try updating the software. Try using fixed internet connection (landline) if possible. Discuss the issue with the teacher of the course beforehand. If you lose connection during the exam try reconnecting and inform the teacher responsible for the exam immediately.
An exam requires a quiet space with no interruptions but I have no such space available. What should I do?
Discuss your situation with the teacher of the course beforehand to find a solution for your situation.
What should I do if the exam platform crashes during the exam?
Your course teacher will tell you more about the examination and provide you with practical instructions. To prevent data loss, you should write and save your answer on your device before turning it in, so it won’t be lost if the exam platform crashes or you encounter other difficulties. If you encounter problems during the exam contact the teacher responsible for the exam immediately.
What should I do if I cannot turn in my answers to the exam platform?
Your course teacher will tell you more about the examination and provide you with practical instructions. To prevent data loss, you should write and save your answer on your device before turning it in, so it won’t be lost. First try solving the problem yourself. If you get an error message, follow its instructions. If this doesn’t solve the issue contact the teacher responsible for the exam for instructions.
What is the assessment time for my exam?
In a normal situation study attainments should be assessed and the results recorded within 21 days of their submission or the final date by which they should have been submitted. For the time being the time can be extended by 14 days, but the policy varies. If you need to know when your assessment is ready, or it is overdue contact the course teacher. Assessment time is decreed in University and TAMK's Degree Regulations.
I’m dissatisfied with my exam assessment. what can I do?
In the event that you are dissatisfied with a particular assessment result for a completed course unit, theses or other similar decisions you have the right to seek rectification within 14 days of the moment the result of the evaluation / the decision has been made available.
