Sustainable Entrepreneurship, 20–60 cr

Description
Sustainable Entrepreneurship module is linked to the common learning outcome of Innovation at Tampere Universities. The entrepreneurship module provides students with capabilities to act as a sustainable entrepreneur or be an entrepreneurial minded actor across all sectors. These studies are applicable for all students within Tampere University. The module can form a minor (at least 20 ects).


Curriculum development and working life connections

This curriculum utilizes the Europepan Entrepreneurship Competence framework –model (EntreComp 2016) and its 15 entrepreneurial competences. These are linked to both content planning and evaluation criteria


United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, Agenda 2030 is a strong influencer for the curriculum content.

Tampere University students’ course feedback and development ideas have been carefully listened when structuring this module. Other local sources of information are State Youth Council 2019 (Nuorisobarometri 2019).

This curriculum is in line with Arene and Unifi’s guidelines on Sustainable Development and responsibility (2020) and Supporting Entrepreneurship at Universities (2019).

Objectives
The module is designed to prepare you for entrepreneurship and provide you with an understanding of global challenges and the importance of development and innovation activities in addressing these challenges. Upon completion of the module, you will also have the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, think creatively and develop customer-oriented, sustainable and economically viable solutions that can potentially have a renewing role in working life.
