Functional blocks and functioning of a simple radiotransmitter.
Small signal modeling, nonidealities and basic high frequency component models (passive basic components, PN-diode, NPN-transistor,Shockley-equation, Ebers-Moll transistormodel).
Use of linear circuit analysis and related mathematical tools in RF electronics.
Basic building blocks of transmitter-receiver systems: transistor amplifier circuit to oscillators, modulators, mixers, filters, and antennas.
Basics of EM waves, properties of elementary antennas.
Construction and testing of basic RF circuits and antennas.
Overview of typical RF design principles and terminology used in RF electronics.
