  • Fundamental concepts of electromagnetics, Maxwell equations and constitutive relations
  • Vector analysis and basic operations
  • Basic postulates of electromagnetic field theory
  • Mathematical operations and theorems related to vector fields
  • Permittivity, dipole, polarization, static electric field
  • Energy stored in electric field, calculation of force
  • Basics of numerical computation of electric fields. Derivation of Poisson and Laplace equations from the fundamental equations
  • Stationary current and current density. Derivation of Ohm's, Joule's and Kirchoff's laws from the fundamental equations
  • Static magnetic field and magnetic circuits. Ampére's and Biot-Savart's laws, magnetic diple moment, magnetic materials, magnetization, hysteresis and constitutive relations
  • Faraday's law of induction, transformers, basics of rotating electrical machines
  • Magnetic vector potential
