Fake news course is an introduction to distinguishing fake news from rigorous journalism, and it provides the basic tools and processes to read between the lines and separate the facts from fiction and bias. This course dives into the world of fake news and the spread of misinformation and disinformation by examining the motives, processes, and channels. Due to the internet and social media specifically, fake news is becoming an increasingly alarming issue in modern society which is why it is important to understand the background behind the spread of misinformation through both main-stream media and social media.
