Call of Duty: Warzone <\/em>is the newest addition to the highly popular Battle Royale genre. It is part of the 2019 released Call of Duty: Modern Warfare <\/em>but can be played separately without buying the game for free.<\/p>\n

The basics of the game are quite simple as it is for all the games of Battle Royale genre. You are dropped in the battlefield in a squad of three and your objective is to be the last team alive. You will find weapons and other equipment for this from the battlefield and the eliminated enemies.<\/p>\n

There are a few differences in this game compared to other Battle Royale games. For example, there is a money system in the game, where you collect money from the battlefield or buy completing bounties. Bounties are for example, eliminating a target player or securing an area for a certain time. You will always start without money, but it is important to collect it. With this money, you can buy better equipment and killstreaks from market stations which are located all over the map.<\/p>\n

\nThe game itself looks nice and pretty realistic.<\/em><\/p>\n

Killstreaks are familiar for anyone ever played Call of Duty<\/em> games but essentially, they mean extra features, such as radar for you and your friends, airstrike on a chosen location and many more.<\/p>\n

The one difference I found most interesting was a chance to be brought back to the battlefield after being eliminated. You will be transferred to a Gulag, a prisoner camp where you battle against another eliminated player in a small area of a prison grounds. The winner of the fight will have a second chance to compete in the battlefield. \u00a0Although, this is an interesting addition it also makes the game longer and the player brought back a second time will have a huge disadvantage since once again you will have to search for equipment and better weapons.<\/p>\n

The gameplay resembles the older Call of Duty <\/em>games a lot, being a very basic first-person shooter. The map is relatively large so there is a lot to discover. Playing first times can also be frustrating since you are not aware of where the enemy can hide. There are also old parts of old Call of Duty<\/em> maps, which is a nice addition for the players who are familiar with the older games.<\/p>\n

I enjoyed the game at the beginning but after a while it got boring since it does not offer much for a player who is already familiar with Battle Royale games. It also has a slow pace, which I did not enjoy as much. Also, the reward system of unlocking guns and their modifications through playing for hours did not seem to fit with the basic idea of Battle Royale games, where everyone should start with the same possibility to win.<\/p>\n

I would recommend this game to everyone who enjoys simple First-person shooter games or Call of Duty <\/em>series and wants to try something different with familiar gameplay.<\/p>\n
