Bar & Caf<\/span>e<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Late<\/span>game<\/span>\u00a0is a\u00a0<\/span>new<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>bar in Tampere catered towards pc-gamers. Opened in late 2019 in\u00a0<\/span>K<\/span>uninkaankatu this bar aims to<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>bring together all types of game<\/span>r<\/span>s and be a hotspot<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>for gamers in general.<\/span>\u00a0Multiple gaming\u00a0<\/span>PC<\/span>s and a big screen<\/span>\u00a0for<\/span> viewing esport tournaments<\/span>\u00a0make<\/span>\u00a0the place\u00a0<\/span>great especially<\/span>\u00a0for\u00a0<\/span>older esport fanatics<\/span>, although a few more seats near the screen might be a good addition.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Lategame<\/span>\u00a0is set-up on 2 floors, where the upper\/street-level floor is a caf\u00e9<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>with<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>less<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>gaming op<\/span>tions<\/span>\u00a0than downstairs<\/span>\u00a0but more space for socializing over a cup of coffee<\/span>. The\u00a0<\/span>lower,\u00a0<\/span>basement floor<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0is<\/span> the esport gaming bar\u00a0<\/span>that has<\/span>\u00a020 gaming computers,<\/span>\u00a0a streaming PC,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>a couple of older\u00a0<\/span>PC<\/span>s<\/span>\u00a0for those Heroes of might and magic 3 sessions (an old strategy simulation game which has an excellent multiplayer mode).<\/span> Honorable<\/span>\u00a0mention to their<\/span>\u00a0excellent cabinet for table-top roleplaying<\/span>\u00a0which has a huge table and enough space to seat 10 players.<\/span> This is, in my mind, the best place for tabletop gaming in Tampere.<\/span><\/p>\n

Regular, daily viewing of esports at the venue provide<\/span>s<\/span> for a good place to stay in touch with esport events. Sport<\/span>s<\/span> bars are common, esport bars not so much, and for this, the place offers a welcome c<\/span>hange in the bar\/cafe scene of Tampere city.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

T<\/span>ournaments\u00a0<\/span>are\u00a0<\/span>held at the spot\u00a0<\/span>regularly, featuring popular games such as CS:GO, Dota 2<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>League of Legends<\/span>\u00a0and others<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Besides the obvious focus on pc-gaming<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0the bar also features several other gaming spots. T<\/span>h<\/span>ey\u2019ve got a\u00a0<\/span>couple of<\/span> PS<\/span>4<\/span>s,\u00a0<\/span>one PS2<\/span>, a\u00a0<\/span>N<\/span>intendo<\/span>\u00a0classic<\/span>, a VR-setup\u00a0<\/span>upstairs\u00a0<\/span>and\u00a0<\/span>plenty of board games<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>The board game collection,<\/span> as well as all other game collections, are<\/span>\u00a0constantly\u00a0<\/span>grow<\/span>ing\u00a0<\/span>via<\/span>\u00a0donations and purchases.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Having a beer<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0a<\/span>n<\/span>\u00a0HP or a mana potion<\/span>\u00a0and playing with friends late into the night is a\u00a0<\/span>favorite<\/span>\u00a0past time for many.\u00a0<\/span>Lat<\/span>e<\/span>game<\/span>\u00a0aims to make this activity even more social by combining bar activities with gaming<\/span>\u00a0and especially the downstairs<\/span>\u00a0bar<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>succeed<\/span>s<\/span>\u00a0excellently<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>The\u00a0<\/span>place is like a\u00a0<\/span>never<\/span>–<\/span>ending Lan-party and it sure feels like something that was missing in Tampere !<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
