Minecraft is the best-selling video game of all time to date that has been described as one of the greatest and most influential games of all time. With 180 million copies sold across all platforms by late 2019, over 112 million monthly active players, multiple spin-offs and massive cultural impact spreading even to educational purposes, I saw it more than necessary to review the legendary 3D sandbox game.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the updates, there’s always something new to explore in the game, like the underwater world.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

As you begin the game, you get to choose from different game modes which affect your gameplay, including survival mode, where you start with no resources at all and have to fight hostile creatures, and creative mode, where you have unlimited resources to build whatever you want with no disturbances. The game modes support both single-player and multiplayer modes and have four different levels of difficulty to choose from, the easiest being the peaceful mode where there are no hostile creatures at all, and the most difficult one being the hardcore mode, where the difficulty is locked to the highest setting and dying means permadeath.<\/p>\n

The game leaves a lot of room for the players to use their imagination and build magnificent structures like the castle pictured above.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

As I\u2019ve played different modes of the game, I\u2019ve found the creative freedom it gives the best part of it. Along with the different game modes it offers, it also gives the players three different dimensions to explore, two of them requiring special portals to access them. The game, however, tends to be a lot more fun when played together with multiple people, either online or by using the multiplayer mode. The more players there are, the quicker it is to gather resources, perhaps even valuable resources like diamonds or emeralds \u2013 though the effort it takes to find those, at times, will still feel quite exhausting, especially if you aren\u2019t lucky enough to make it back to the shelter alive with them. I\u2019d say it\u2019s all just a matter of practice, trial and error though, so if you want to let your creativity and imagination run wild, grab the console of your choice, sit back with some friends, and enjoy this masterpiece with limitless possibilities! Taking both official and unofficial fanmade content into account, there\u2019s bound to be something for everyone!<\/p>\n
