Our team leadership ideology starts from removing 'lecturers' and introducing a truly Finnish concept in our coaching model. Studying in Proakatemia takes place by working in a team enterprise together with other team entrepreneurs. Students establish real enterprises in which they learn teamwork, marketing and management skills by combining theory and practice. Coaches facilitate this by guiding towards new learning innovations and by setting goals in accordance to the underlying curriculum.

TAMK Proakatemia offers a unique learning environment where you can develop a wide-range of real life business and teamwork skills and learn about your own strengths and weaknesses as a team member and an entrepreneur. Cooperation with companies and the Proakatemia's local and international networks help you build your own business networks already during your studies and help your transition to working life.
During your studies you will develop competences in areas that are currently important, and the capacity to learn new things will be useful throughout your life. As a Proakatemia graduate you will have diverse skills and competences for building your own business as an entrepreneur or taking on a demanding specialist role in an existing organisation.

The language of the degree programme is English but everyone in it will develop skills in Finnish language and gain the competence required to function in Finnish business environment. The aim of the studies is to develop capacity to work bilingually and collaborate interculturally. These capabilities are developed with the needs of the team enterprise in mind. A personal plan for language, communication and intercultural studies is made with each student to enable learning of these skills through diverse coursework, independently and peer-learning.
In Proakatemia, the learning environment is based on the team entreprise you will start together with other students. You will draft a learning contract with which you will direct your studies, projects and seminars towards your own learning goals. You will also draft a reading plan where you can select professional literature relevant for your own goals. The knowledge and skills that are required from an entrepreneur are under constant change and you will have the opportunity to gain the most relevant up-to-date competences. In Proakatemia, you can learn things that we do not even know about yet.
General topics of study in Proakatemia include leadership and management, sales and marketing, corporate finances, teamwork and creative products and business models. Throughout your studies you will build your knowledge about the market and your business acumen. As a member of a team enterprise you will develop important meta-skills, such as visionary capacity, courage, collaboration and communication skills, emotional intelligence and practical leadership skills.
In Proakatemia, learning takes place together with your own team and other teams. Team learning requires strong commitment and presence. Active participation in team activities is a prerequisite for achieving good results.
The degree carries a tuition fee of EUR 9 800 / academic year for non-EU/EEA students. Applicants must submit relevant documentation together with their application. - 50% Early Bird -scholarship waiver for the first year, if acceptance of offered study place and 50% payment of first year tuition fee is done within 7 days of receiving a Conditional Offer Letter.
- Academic Award -scholarship waivers of 25% and 50% in the following years based on credits gained and Finnish language skills test results.
At the time of graduation, students may be eligible for significant Academic Excellence scholarships. These scholarships are governed by the TAMK's R&D Fund. They can be based on final thesis quality, excellence in project work, exceptional practical training success or other grounds set by the Fund.

• Bachelor’s Thesis (15 ECTS credit points)
The objective of the Bachelor's thesis (15 ECTS credits) is to combine theoretical knowledge with practical skills, and in this way to produce topical solutions for the organisation's needs. The thesis is written following the practices of scientific reporting and with emphasis on practical solutions for existing problems within the organisation concerned. It can be a planning or development task, a research, a product, or a guide done for a company, a branch of local government, or other organisations. Ideally, the students should find a practical case for their final thesis during the practical training. Writing the Bachelor's thesis will take from four to six months, depending on the topic and level of difficulty.
The BBA in Entrepreneurship and Team Leadership prepares undergraduates for demanding jobs in various fields, such as marketing, sales, export-import operations, financial management, product management, and customer relations. TAMK graduates also work in supply chain management, project management and as consultants or entrepreneurs.
Bachelor of Business Administration
As a TAMK student you have the opportunity to complete part of your degree abroad in one of TAMK's partner universities, of which we have over 300 in more than 50 countries.
The degree programme is co-designed and co-developed with local companies and alumni of the TAMK BBA programme.
As a degree student of TAMK, you have the possibility, when enrolled as present, to select studies also from the curriculum of Tampere University to include in your degree within the framework of your study plan. With these cross-institutional studies and shared projects you can create a personalised study portfolio with extended knowledge and skills. As a student of TAMK, a national study portal provided by the Finnish universities of applied sciences is also open for you.
After BBA graduation, you will be eligible to apply for a Master's degree programme in Finland or abroad.
TAMK School of Business and Services also runs further studies in an internationally competitive, English-taught Master's Degree Programmes in International Business Management (with Growth Makers specialization), Educational Leadership and Risk management and Circular Economy, as well as Finnish -taught Master’s Degree Programme in Entrepreneurship. To apply for a University of Applied Sciences Master's programme you must have two years of work experience from the field after your BBA graduation.

Language skill requirements
Sufficient English language skills are also required for degree programmes conducted in English. English language skills will be evaluated as part of the admission process.
Applicants with a refugee status
If you are a person with refugee status or an asylum seeker, you may apply and be accepted to study just as any other eligible applicant.
If you are a refugee, have a status comparable to a refugee or are an asylum seeker, and cannot thus verify your previous degree with relevant documentation, TAMK may still invite you to participate in an entrance exam. You must have a decision by the authorities concerning your refugee status. See instructions for the submission of the document at the section enclosures. In a situation like this, please be in touch with the TAMK's Admissions office before applying.
The intake 2022 for this Bachelor's degree programme is 40 students.
The student selection has two phases. The first phase is a pre-task and the second is an online exam. Student selections are made based on the combined points of the pre-task and exam (maximum of 100 points).
If two or more applicants earn the same admission points, they will be ranked on the following basis:
- online exam points
- pre-task points
If these criteria fail to produce a difference between tied applicants, the application system will automatically draw the order.
The online exam takes place on 15-17 February 2022.
Based on the points of the pre-task, 160 best-performing applicants will be invited to the online exam. Invitations to the exam are sent to the email addresses given in the application 11 February at latest.
Online exam includes a written part and a group interview. Exam is accessible globally over the internet.
The maximum score of the online exam is 60 points. A minimum of 30 points is required for the exam result to be accepted.
The online exam is tied together with the pre-task and will test applicants' motivation and suitability to the field of study. Applicants must be prepared to take the exam (i.e. have a computer with a microphone and a camera available) at the given time. The exam will be arranged during office hours Finnish time.
English language skills are evaluated as a part of the pre-task and the exam.
The pre-task and online exam results are only valid for this degree program and only during this application period.

Submit FIRST the official online application by 19 January 2022 (3 pm Finnish time) at the latest AND THEN upload the pre-task to the application by 26 January 2022 (3 pm Finnish time) at the latest.
The maximum score of the pre-task is 40 point. A minimum of 5 points is required for the pre-task to be accepted.
Follow the instructions carefully. Please remember to submit all the required sections. If the pre-task delivery is incomplete or the pre-task is not delivered in time the application will be rejected. The 160 best-performing applicants will be invited to the online exam
Individual arrangements for entrance examinations are practical arrangements made by TAMK to facilitate application in case of special needs. You can apply for the right to individual arrangements for entrance examinations / online interviews in using an online application (below). The deadline for applying for individual arrangements is 26 January 2022.
You need to describe your special needs and the grounds for individual arrangements in the application. You should enclose copies of the certificates to which they appeal. The certificates may not date back for more than 5 years. More detailed instructions on the attachments are provided on the online application. All documents supporting the applications are confidential and approved methods of administration are applied when processing these documents.
If you do not deliver the application in time, TAMK has no obligation to make any individual arrangements. If the need for individual arrangements arises or is discovered between the end of the application period and the online interview/entrance exam, you must submit the individual arrangement application without a delay to TAMK Admissions Office.
You will receive a notification (not a decision) concerning the individual arrangements before the entrance examination/online interview.
The individual arrangement decision only applies to one application round.

Note that your e-mail address is only valid for filling out one application. You cannot fill out additional applications with the same e-mail address.
Non-EU/EEA citizens: If you wish to qualify for the Early Bird -scholarship at TAMK, you must accept the offered study place within 7 days from the time that student selection result is published. Please see more about tuition fees and scholarships.
One study place
Please notice, that you can only accept one study place among Bachelor's/Master's degrees in Finland starting during the same academic semester (1 Aug-31 Dec/1 Jan-31 Jul). Even if you register as absent or quit your studies, you cannot accept another study place during the same academic semester.
The confirmation of study place is binding and it cannot be changed afterwards.
A degree completed outside of Finland
You have to upload the required certificate copies on your application form by 26 January 2022 at 3 pm (Finnish time) at the latest. If your original degree certificate is in a language other than Finnish, Swedish or English, you also have to upload a copy of its authorised translation. The authorised translation has to be in Finnish, Swedish or English and it has to include the translator’s signature and stamp.
International matriculation examination (IB, EB, RP/DIA)
You have to upload the diploma and the official translation (RP/DIA) copies on your application form by 26 January 2022 at 3 pm (Finnish time) at the latest.
Finnish matriculation examination prior to 1990
You have to upload the matriculation examination certificate on your application form by 26 January 2022 at 3 pm (Finnish time) at the latest.
Graduates of spring 2022
You have to upload a stamped and signed document from your school stating that you are graduating by the end of the academic year on your application form by 26 January 2022 at 3 pm (Finnish time) at the latest. If you are applying with IB/EB/DIA diploma and graduating during the academic year 2021-2021, submit a Predicted Grades or equivalent by 6 April 2022 at 3 pm Finnish time at the latest to the highest study option's UAS' Admissions Office. If your original document is in a language other than Finnish, Swedish or English, you also have to send a copy of its certified translation. The translation has to be in Finnish, Swedish or English and it has to include the translator’s signature and stamp.
If you are applying with other than above-mentioned degree, you don’t have to send certificate copies during the application period.
The certificate copies are checked from those who are accepted as students and the final certificate copies (Transcript of Grades for those completing IB diploma) have to be sent by 15 July 2022.
Document proving identity and exemption of tuition fee
All applicants must upload a copy of an ID-document on their application form. The document is used to prove applicants identity during different stages of the admissions process (i.e. the online interview), and to establish their citizenship and/or residence status.
Students who are not citizens of countries of the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland, or are not holders of certain residence status in Finland are subjec to tuition fees.
All submitted documents must include a photograph and the applicant must be identifiable from the photograph.The copy must be fully legible.
Submit one of the following documents:
- Passport ID page or ID card of EU/EEA/Switzerland which states citizenship
- Passport ID page (all other citizenships)
- Finnish driving license (only Finnish citizens)
- EU Blue Card
- EU Family Member's Residence Card in Finland
- Type A permit (continuous residence permit in Finland)
- Type P permit (permanent residence permit in Finland)
- Type P-EU permit (EU residence permit for third-country citizens with long-term residence in Finland)
You must upload the copy on your application form by 26 January 2022 at 3 pm (Finnish time).
Admitted applicant: A copy of the final secondary school certificate or equivalent
All admitted applicants (with Finnish or non-Finnish degree) have to upload their final certificate copies on the application form by 15 July 2022 at 3 pm Finnish time.
This does not apply for academic year 2021-2022 graduates, whose final diploma cannot be submitted by the deadline. These applicants may request another deadline. However, academic year 2021-2021 graduates have to submit a document from their educational institution/instant stating that the applicant has graduated/passed the final exams by 15 July 2021 at 3 pm Finnish time. Student selection is conditional until TAMK has checked the admitted students’ original final school certificates. TAMK may withdraw the admission if you do not deliver the certificates by the deadline or if you have given false information.

Results for the August 2022 intake will be published in March 2022 at the earliest and on June 2022 at the latest.

Confirm the offered study place in time
Admitted applicants must confirm their study place by 15 July 2022 at 3 pm (Finnish time) by logging into Studyinfo.fi portal. If the confirmation has not been done by the deadline, the applicant will lose the offered study place.
Non-EU/EEA students: To qualify for the Early Bird -scholarship you must accept the offered study place within 7 days!
Confirmation of the study place is binding and cannot be altered or cancelled.
If you are admitted later from the waiting list, you have 7 days to confirm your study place. Please read your e-mail regularly in order to receive the possible admittance e-mail in time. The final day of admittance of new students is 2 August 2021.
The original certificates will be checked at the beginning of the studies. Student admission is conditional until TAMK has checked the admitted students' original school certificates at the beginning of the studies.
TAMK may withdraw the admission if you do not deliver the original certificates by the set date or if you have given false information.
One study place
You can only accept one study place among Bachelor's/Master's degrees in Finland starting during the same academic semester (1 Aug-31 Dec/1 Jan-31 Jul). Even if you register as absent or quit your studies, you cannot accept another study place during the same academic semester.
Enroll for studies
When accepting the study place, you also have to register as present or absent for your studies at TAMK on the Studyinfo.fi portal.
According to Finnish legislation, first-year student may register as absent for the first academic year for the following reasons only:
- Finnish military service under the Conscription Act (1438/2007), Non-Military Service Act (1446/2007), or Act on Women's Voluntary Military Service (194/1995);
- maternity, paternity or parental leave;
- the student cannot begin studies due to being incapacitated by personal illness or injury.
If you register as absent, you must prove the legal grounds for your absence. TAMK requires you to present these documents by 15 July 2022 at 3 pm Finnish time. Documents must be delivered to TAMK Admissions Office.
If you register as absent in your first academic year, but fail to deliver sufficient clarification regarding the grounds for your absence within the deadline, you will lose your right to study.
If you believe that there has been a mistake in the student selection or the set admission criteria have not been applied correctly, you can submit a written request for rectification of the student selection decision addressed to TAMK Board of Examiners within 14 days after the student selection results have been published.
Always check the admission criteria of the programme first and contact TAMK Admissions Office before writing the request. If the issue cannot be solved by the admissions officials, you are advised to submit a written request for rectification.
Form and content of request for an administrative review:
The document requesting an administrative review shall indicate the particular decision for which the review is requested, the amendment that is being sought in the review requested and the grounds for requesting the review. (Administrative Procedure Act, Section 49d)
