Esittely englanniksi: Building on the success of the inaugural national electrophysiology course organized by the FinE University of Eastern Finland node in 2025, this year’s course incorporates current methodological and analytical developments. We place a particular emphasis on microelectrode array (MEA) technologies, reflecting FinE Tampere nodes strong expertise and long-standing focus in this area. In addition, we cover optical electrophysiology, optogenetics, and modern data analysis approaches, including an overview of recent advances in AI-based analysis.
The two-day program combines expert lectures, selected participant presentations, industry session, live demonstrations, and laboratory tours. We also introduce participants to the FinE platform and its core facilities, highlighting the infrastructure, services, and expert support available across Finland.
The course (1 ECTS) is open to undergraduate and PhD students and also offers valuable opportunities for postdoctoral researchers and senior scientists to update and expand their knowledge in electrophysiology.
