Period 1: Remote lectures, weekly exercises (remote), working on a design project in groups, individual learning diary.
Period 2: Continuing the work on the design project and individual learning diary.
Assessment based on the group design project (50% of the grade), individual learning diary (40%) and small tasks during period 1 (10%).
Prerequisites
This is an advanced course requiring good prior knowledge of UX/HCD concepts and methods and their application in practice. A student should have taken the course "HTI.100 Human-Technology Interaction 1: Basics" prior to this course as well as "HTI.230 Usability Evaluation Methods".A Master's level or postgraduate student who has taken a Bachelor's degree elsewhere should have an understanding of basic concepts and methods of usability, user experience, and human centered design before entering the course. Student can plan and conduct a simple task analysis and a user study (interviews, observations, questionnaires). Student can conduct a small scale usability test in a laboratory and in the field.
