Tampere Summer School: Application info
Eligibility
Tampere Summer School is intended for university and applied university students and graduates from all over the world. We welcome applications from Bachelor, Master and PhD students of all academic fields, but please remember to check course-specific requirements in the course descriptions.
All applicants
- should have completed a minimum of 1-2 years of university / applied university studies prior to the start of courses
- must be proficient in English
- please note more specific language requirements if you are applying as an exchange or a degree student to the Tampere University or Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK).
Application documents
To apply for the Summer School courses, the students need to fill in an online application and submit a motivation letter for the course(s) applied for. Students can be admitted up to two summer school courses. If you are applying to two or more courses, make sure that the courses do not overlap from the teaching timetable.
Application form
All Summer School applications must be submitted via an online application form (available during application rounds).
If you have any questions on how to fill the online form, please contact summerschool [at] tuni.fi.
Motivation letter
The motivation letter is a short document (max. 500 words) where the students should specify why they want to take this course and how it would fit with their studies. If you apply for more than one course, you need to submit a separate motivation letter for each course applied for. There are no specific requirements on how to write the letter, but the following questions may be used as a guidance:
- Why did you choose this course?
- Do you have previous studies in this topic/field?
- How do you think this course would fit your degree and/or other plans?
The motivation letter(s) will be submitted via the application form. Please use .doc/.docx, .rtf or .pdf format and name the file Lastname.Firstname_Course title.
