Prerequisites:&nbsp;completed a Bachelor’s degree at a university or university of applied sciences

In order to complete the studies you must have a good command of English.

You must submit&nbsp;the degree certificate in electronic format as attachment to your application (file format PDF, PNG, JPG) .

The course has a limited number of places. The places are filled in order of enrollment (on a first come first served basis). There is a quota of 3 for the Open University students.

When you have been admitted to the studies, you must enrol separately via the Sisu information system for the implementation of the unit of study and, for example if set, for a practise group of your choice. You will receive instructions on how to do this by e-mail after you have confirmed your acceptance of the study place by paying the required fee.

The course will be completed entirely in the Moodle. Independent working (ca 135 hrs).

All the assignments should be completed in three months from the enrolment.

After completing the course the student will be able to - discuss in depth the concept of global mental health- know the basics of promoting mental health in both high income and low to middle&#160; income countries- understand the association of cultural and societal circumstances with the needs for mental health care services- descripe developmental requirements of the mental health globally

<h2>Prerequisites</h2>This is a course on global mental health issues, focusing also on mental health services. The objective of the course is to provide a general overview on the concept of global mental health.
