Prerequisites:&nbsp;completed a Bachelor’s degree at a university or university of applied sciences

In order to complete the studies you must have a good command of English.

You must submit&nbsp;the degree certificate in electronic format as attachment to your application (file format PDF, PNG, JPG) .

The course has a limited number of places. The places are filled in order of enrollment (on a first come first served basis). There is a quota of 3 for the Open University students.

When you have been admitted to the studies, you must enrol separately via the Sisu information system for the implementation of the unit of study and, for example if set, for a practise group of your choice. You will receive instructions on how to do this by e-mail after you have confirmed your acceptance of the study place by paying the required fee.

After completing the course the student will - be familiar with the concepts and approach of health economics - know the basics of the main evaluation methods of health economics - be able to find and evaluate health economic literature and scientific articles - be able to evaluate the use of health-economic approaches to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of some of the different health systems around the world
