The student can explain what are static electric field, steady conduction, and static magnetic field. Student can explain the quantities and laws included in them and how they are related to observations.
Students knows how Coulomb and Gauss laws as well as Kirchoff voltage law are related to the static electric field problem. The student knows how the Kirchoff current law and Joule's law are related to the steady conduction problem.
Student can explain what are the constitutive laws and which EM properties they model. Student can explain the Farady law and knows examples of applications where it is exploited. The student can analyze properties of EM problems via simple analytical calculations and numerical simulation results.
