My research focuses on the politics and policies of the energy transition at local, national, and international levels. In my work I focus on the underlying political dynamics of energy transitions. 

Only via a strong understanding of the political aspects of the energy transition reaching far into society alongside a strong technological and business dimension can we understand and enable the current and future energy transitions.

I also focus on energy justice and sustainability, exploring questions of power, inequality and social change in the context of the energy transition.
