WHIZ - work and holistic integration zone

Tampere University of Applied Sciences
1.9.2016–31.8.2019

The objective is to develop a tailor-made model for people with migrational backgrounds and other special groups to improve their task-oriented skills, language and integration while working. Employers will have a clear model to ensure sufficient workforce, basic level training, counselling and development of work community.

Goal

The aim of the project is to create a new employment model for special groups, such as people with migrational backgrounds. In this model, all learning is centralised to workshops and work places and there are no rigid demands for professional nor language skills. In addition to close personal work counselling, the participants will have support for their development in task-specific professional skills and language skills during the project.
