We offer innovation services for SMEs in the region. We assess the business possibilities of ideas and inventions and recommend how to commercialize and develop them further.

What is it all about?

Inventing and finding innovations is not at all difficult – it is enough to keep your eyes and mind open and approach the issue from different angles. Changing the point of view and discussing the issues with new people are the keys to many innovations.

When you have an idea, bring it for processing to TAMK's innovation services. A group of experts from TAMK will examine your idea and evaluate its chances of success.

If everything goes well, at the end of the process you should have a business idea or invention eligible for further funding or licensing.

TAMK has been actively involved since 2007 in developing the innovation activity of Finnish universities of applied sciences. This work has received support from Tekes, the Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation and Keksintösäätiö, the Foundation for Finnish Inventions.

Over the years, we have developed a successful innovation service model. The results speak for themselves: to date, 14 new companies have been established and three licensing agreements have been made.

TAMK and Savonia University of Applied Sciences are the only two Finnish universities of applied sciences which have been licensed by the Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment to provide innovation services.

How to proceed?
