TAMK OpenLab offers companies and communities diverse research, development, innovation and expert services. They are implemented in cooperation with TAMK’s skilled staff and students in our comprehensive RDI environments.

TAMK OpenLab environments offer need-based services from extensive development projects to targeted technology demonstrations and small-scale commissions. Projects use TAMK’s and its stakeholders’ extensive expertise and equipment.

TAMK FieldLab is a testing and learning environment for Industry 4.0. TAMK FieldLab is a modern technological environment with focus on information solutions and human-machine communication.

TAMK E-MobilityLab

TAMK E-MobilityLab is a development and learning environment for intelligent machines and logistics applications. Its purpose is to promote digitalisation, electrification, development of low-carbon products and production as well as energy efficiency. Related applications include electric machines, vehicles, aircrafts and their mobile energy solutions.

TAMK EnergySystemsLab

TAMK EnergySystemsLab is an electric energy development and learning environment for intelligent network solutions related to energy transition. The energy transition challenges the electric energy system because electrification of the society, increase in weather-dependent production and reduction of fossil regulating energy emphasise the importance of power management. Related applications include for example control solutions for intelligent networks, electric power transmission systems, optimised renewable electric energy solutions and use of energy reserves in electric energy systems.

TAMK Process Automation Lab

TAMK Process Automation Lab is a development and learning environment for intelligent process automation (IPA) applications. Related new digital technologies increase process speed and promote process functionality and energy efficiency. IPA technologies include for example robotics, image recognition and machine learning.
