METKU-project: meaningfulness of work among public sector employees within customer-oriented service provision

METKU-project integrates the perspectives of meaningful work, customer-oriented services and customer value co-creation, METKU will provide new insight to the development of public sector employees’ work wellbeing. The cities of Tampere, Pori and Oulu are the three case organisations where the empirical data is gathered during the project via four longitudinal sets of thematic interviews.

Based on the research results METKU will develop a novel model to support work wellbeing and produce a self-evaluation tool for perceived meaningfulness of work among employees in public sector service provision and tailored training model/intervention for fostering meaningful work in customer oriented services and co-creation of customer value.
