ICT4N – ICT for need

The main goal of the project is to help companies in Pirkanmaa region that suffer from shortage of ICT skills in a situation where domestic training provision is not enough to cover the needs of companies, and companies must also bring know-how from abroad. The aim is to reduce the unemployment of highly educated experts with a foreign background who are already in Finland.

The ICT4N project seeks a solution for the problem of matching the employment needs of mainly foreign-speaking ICT professionals with the ICT-skill needs of companies operating in the Pirkanmaa region. The aim of the project is finding employment for experts and, correspondingly, good experts for companies to meet their labor needs. The rapid development of the ICT sector ensures that the training in ICT4N project is current in terms of the technologies, working methods and methods addressed.

The project is implemented by Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK) and the University of Tampere (TAU).

The implementers will provide the project with solid experience in workforce training planning and
cooperation projects with SMEs, needs assessments and in-service training and conversion in the field of ICT. Implementers have comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the requirements of the topics related to the project and future development and competence needs.
