I’m a doctoral researcher in gender studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences, with academic background also in environmental politics. In my research I explore multispecies livelihoods as enacted in small-scale food production.
Empirically my research is based on ethnographic and interview data, collected among practitioners of small-scale food production in three different settings in Finland: in community-based agriculture, urban beekeeping and mushroom foraging.
Theoretically and methodologically in my work I utilize diverse economies approach developed in feminist economic geography together with feminist materialist and posthumanist theories and feminist epistemologies. I'm also interested in practicing and studying feminist pedagogies.
