Eye on TAMK 2021
For the first time all TAMK schools and units are hosting an international week together on 22-26 March 2021

For many years, TAMK’s International Weeks have built a global platform for peer support, idea exchange and networking. Participants have been able to present and share their expertise with their international peers from different higher educational institutions.

This year, TAMK schools and units are joining forces to organize a multidisciplinary International Week for everyone. The participants will be able to explore new topics and cooperation possibilities or deepen their knowledge on their field by exchanging ideas and practices with international partners.

“We welcome everyone to make new connections and revive old ones,” exclaims Krista Merikoski, Coordinator in TAMK International Services.

A multidisciplinary week-long event

Eye on TAMK 2021 Online Week is a scientific, pedagogical, and intercultural event.
The programme will include lectures, workshops, seminars, and interactive sessions fitting the following topics: Business, Cultural Wellbeing, Engineering, Languages and Communication, Health Care and Social Services, Media, Music and Arts, RDI, Teacher Education, TREE- Continuous Education, and Quality goes online in university services (Non-Teaching Staff Track).

All TAMK members and partners are invited to submit their proposal to attend the event as presenters; by teaching a lecture, hosting a session, etc. Send in your application by 22 February 2021.

“This year’s joined International Week will better enable multidisciplinary activities and we hope the participants will find interesting and new, perhaps even unexpected, opportunities,” comments Noora Kahra, Senior Advisor in TAMK International Services.

International Week goes Online

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the event will be held online on 22-26 of March 2021. The virtual nature of this event creates new opportunities to network and internationalize at home. Participants will be able to exchange ideas and learn with peers from around the world from the comfort of our own home offices.

“We are trying to make virtual networking as easy as possible by setting up virtual lounges, and by making the sessions interactive,” says Noora Kahra.

The cultural and social programme is organized by the experienced TAMK-Virtual Event Service (TAMK-VES). It will introduce Tampere region and the local culture to the participants and intrigue them to visit and explore Tampere soon.
