TUNICRIS is the joint research information system of Tampere University and Pirkanmaa Hospital District. The system provides an overview of the scientific output and experts of Tampere University and Pirkanmaa Hospital District.

TUNICRIS is not only a platform for researchers and experts to manage their research profile and scientific activities but also an important tool for completing internal and external reports and evaluations. TUNICRIS provides an up-to-date overview of research, improves the visibility of open access publications and increases the impact of research.

Data from the former research information systems, SoleCRIS and TUTCRIS, have been imported to TUNICRIS. In addition, TUNICRIS includes publications from Pirkanmaa Hospital District’s database Julki. The joint research information system is an indicator of the strong co-operation between the University and hospital district.

Introducing the new research information system has been a massive undertaking, and the implementation and development of the system continues.
