Tampere University makes its first appearance for life sciences in the world university ranking

Tampere University has been placed among the top 400 in the life sciences ranking released by Times Higher Education.
This year the ranking in this field included 821 universities. Of all the universities in Finland, Åbo Akademi University is placed in the same 301-400 bracket as Tampere University.
Tampere University received its highest score for the amount of industry income generated. In this category, the University is the highest ranked university in Finland. The second highest score came from for the number of citations.
With Cambridge, Harvard University and Oxford University claiming the top three spots, the University of Helsinki was placed 71st and was the highest ranked Finnish university.
