Tampere University admits 686 new students to English-language master’s programmes
Applicants were able to apply to a maximum of three programmes. The total number of applications was 3,000.
The most popular programmes were Computing Sciences, Data Science (197 applications, 44 admitted students), Leadership for Change – Sustainable Business Management (192 applications, 18 admitted students) and Peace, Mediation and Conflict Research (190 applications, 32 admitted students).
The admitted students represent 76 nationalities. The share of non-EU and non-EEA applicants was almost 74% (508 applicants). 38% of all applicants were admitted, which was more than last year (32%).
“We are very happy to see the increase in the number of admitted students as more international applicants were admitted than last year” says Marja Sutela, Vice President for Education at Tampere University.
Tampere University tuition scholarships to nearly 300 students
Tampere University has granted full tuition fee scholarships to 299 admitted international students. In addition, 15 of the most promising applicants were granted an academic excellence scholarship to cover their living costs.
