Eye on TAMK 2022 Multidisciplinary International Week will have the TAMK campuses buzzing all week. Stop by the Eye on TAMK Lounge and meet the international participants.

Next week, the TAMK Main Campus and Mediapolis campus will be buzzing with brilliant ideas and lively discussions on innovations and success stories. With over 130 international guests arriving to Tampere for Eye on TAMK 2022 Multidisciplinary International Week, the programme is more than thrilling.

“All participants seem eager to learn something new and develop higher education sector with international colleagues. This year’s theme is very interesting and topical. Digitalization is here to stay,” proclaims Kirsi Jokipakka, Key Account Manager in TAMK International and Business Operations and Project Coordinator for Eye on TAMK 2022.

Final touch time

The organizing team is efficiently working towards preparing a welcoming atmosphere on campus for all Eye on TAMK 2022 guests. Informative newsletters are being sent to all registered participants with practical information for their arrival and duration of the week.

Upon their arrival, registered participants will receive a bag which includes a nametag with lunch vouchers redeemable in the campus’ cafeterias. Also, a water bottle is included, which can be refilled at multiple stations throughout the campuses. Read more about Eye on TAMK 2022 sustainability pledge here.

Members of TAMK’s community can participate without registration if they wish to follow lectures or other sessions. However, evening activities are only available to registered participants.

On 6 April 2022, a special hybrid seminar is organized with the theme of The power of digitalization in HEI. The audience can follow the seminar live at the TAMK main auditorium or watch the stream.

When in Tampere…

Tampere locals are famous for their hospitality and warm welcoming nature. International guests are encouraged to ask for directions and help in the case of getting lost in the city, although the tram and busses work efficiently.

Outside the academic and professional programme of the week, the participants will have opportunities to explore Tampere. On Monday, a two-hour guided bus tour will showcase the city’s history, treasures and unique character. Throughout the week, the tracks’ programmes include nature walks in Tampere’s many parks and forests as well as optional sauna experiences.

“We hope to give everyone a week full of enthusiastic conversations, unique experiences, freedom and safety. Finland is yet again the happiest country in the world, and we want to share this with the world,” exclaims Krista Merikoski, TAMK International Coordinator and Eye on TAMK 2022 organizer.
