Student, do you need help with information searching or using library's e-resources? Information searching workshops continue on 27.10.

The ability to locate, search and use information is one of the skills required of university graduates. Information searching skills will help you to progress in your studies, and you will be able to deepen and develop your skills at different stages of your studies. Information searching training is designed to support you both in your studies and later in meeting the various information needs of working life.
Students of Tampere University and Tampere University of Applied Sciences can participate in the information searching workshops. Please make that you have completed the information searching training required for your degree studies before attending the workshop.
Students in the information retrieval workshops
- search for background material for your thesis or other assignment in a guided way, and/or
- learn how to find reliable and up-to-date information and/or
- brush up on information searching techniques.
Remote and local information searching workshops are held during the study periods on Thursdays at 16–17 and Fridays at 8–9
- for Thursday workshops no later than the previous Tuesday
- for Friday workshops, no later than previous the Wednesday
Library's subject guides offer comprehensive collections of e-articles, e-books and print materials in your field. The information searching guide supports self-study. There you can find tips on choosing search terms, sources and evaluating search results.
Remote access to e-resources from outside Tampere University or University of Applied Sciences is possible by using HAKA login > select Tampereen korkeakoulut - Tampere universities as home organisation > use Tuni ID to login.
