Information searching workshops for students
- you are looking for background material for a thesis or other task in a guided way
- and / or you will learn to find reliable and up - to - date information
- and / or you will train information retrieval techniques.
Information retrieval remote workshops are held on Thursdays from 4 pm to 5 pm and on Fridays from 8 am to 9 am. Enrol to workshops
- Thursday workshops no later than the previous Tuesday
- Friday workshops no later than the previous Wednesday
Students of Tampere University of Applied Sciences and the Tampere University can participate in information retrieval workshops. Please have the information retrieval training included in your degree before attending the workshop. In the library's guides, you will find comprehensive collections of e-articles, e-books and printed materials in your field.
Remote access to e-materials from outside the campus areas takes place with a HAKA login> select Tampere Universities as the home organization> use Tuni IDs.
Information Searching Guide supports self-study. Here you will find tips on, among other things, choosing keywords and data sources, and evaluating search results.
