RefWorks reference management software will be discontinued on 31.12.2021 - save your references now!
The subscription to RefWorks reference management software will end at Tampere Universities on 31st of December 2021. The subscription ends because RefWorks has been unable to solve problems related to EU data protection laws. RefWorks offers only institutional accounts, so the purchase of personal accounts is not possible. The subscription expiration applies to both the Legacy and New versions, and it also applies to add-ons that run in word processors (Write-N-Cite, RefWorks Citation Manager, etc.).
For tips on choosing a suitable new reference management software, please consult the Library's guide: libguides.tuni.fi/reference-management . Staff in the higher education community can install the Zotero software on their computers from the Software Center. Students can install Zotero on their own computers from the Zotero website.
How to save your references from RefWorks – workshops
The information session covers: How to create an RIS file of your references in RefWorks and save the file on your computer or import RIS file into other reference management software (e.g. Zotero and Mendeley).
