From 2019 all theses of Tampere University are archived only electronically. Therefore, no printed versions of the new theses are available for reading in the Library. Those theses whose author has not given the permission to publish online can now be read from the screen at the new theses access points in Linna, Arvo and Hervanta libraries. Reference data for all theses can be found in TuniLib.

Most of the theses of Tampere University can be read through the Internet. They can be found in TamPub and DPub repositories. In accordance with the University's open science policy, all theses are published openly unless the publisher's conditions prevent it.

The theses can be read as follows:

  • Theses from former Tampere University students can be found in TamPub, and the thesis with no permission to publish online can be read at the thesis access points of Linna and Arvo.
  • The theses of students of the former Tampere University of Technology can be found in DPub and the thesis with no permission to publish online can be read at Hervanta's thesis access point.

The new joint open institutional repository is coming in June

Uuden julkaisuarkiston myötä koko yliopiston kandidaatintutkielmat tullaan arkistoimaan yhteiseen julkaisuarkistoon. Uusi julkaisuarkisto tulee muuttamaan myös opinnäytteiden palauttamisen prosessia. Tästä kerromme lisää myöhemmin.

TamPub and DPub are merging into one joint open institutional repository in June 2019. After that, all of the Tampere University theses are found through the same system. With the release of the new open institutional repository, the bachelor's theses of the entire Tampere University will be archived in the new repository. The new repository will also change the process of submitting theses. We will tell you more about this later.
